I just love this piece. Creating something is one thing, having your creation turn out as wonderful as it is in your imagination is something quite different.

In early 2001 I participated in a five day advanced workshop in mosaics. I travelled to the Creative Arts Center of Dallas with all my supplies - stained glass, fossils, marbles, vitreous glass, and stones - and a design in mind. I chose to work in the direct method - that is, using my adhesive to also act as the grout. I spent hours arranging and re-arranging everything to figure out the best layout. The experience was unforgettable; A Moment in Time has been in several exhibitions when it is not gracing the front of my house. I also met Sonia King, who introduced me to SAMA.
